The Geotechniques concentration at ECU focuses upon the analytical, theoretical, and technical skills necessary for employment as a cartographer, GIS analyst, and related professions. It focuses upon four major areas of geotechniques: cartography, remote sensing, geographic information systems, and global positioning systems. Geography courses are also required, enabling students to apply geotechniques to a variety of real-world situations.
