Educational Leadership, Instructor/Assistant Professor

Instructor/Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership, tenure-track if eligible, beginning no later than August 2022. Qualified candidates will be joining a dynamic faculty who are committed to excellent teacher preparation and partnerships with public schools. ECU is a student-centered regional state university located in Ada, Oklahoma. ECU offers thirty-three undergraduate baccalaureate degree programs in arts, business, education, mathematics, sciences, nursing, and the social sciences; and six master's degrees in accounting, education, human resources, psychology, management, and water resources. ECU's 4,200 (average) students come from 35 countries and 22 different states. About 65% of the 147 full-time faculty hold doctorates. Responsibilities: 
The successful candidate will be responsible for 1) serving as the program director for the Educational Leadership program 2) delivering quality instruction in education courses for the Educational Leadership graduate program, 3) advising program graduate candidates, 4) pursuing a focused area of research and scholarship that culminates in publications, professional presentations, and submission of grant proposals, 5) holding active membership in relevant professional associations/organizations, and 6) serving on committees and participating in official activities at the department, college, and university levels.

Qualifications: 
Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Educational Leadership, or a related field from a CAEP/NCATE accredited institution and a minimum of three years each of public school teaching experience and building principal or district superintendent experience. Candidates who are ABO will be considered. Minimum qualification is possession of a master's degree in Educational Leadership or a related field from a CAEP/ NCATE accredited institution and a minimum of three years each of public school teaching experience and building principal or district superintendent experience.

Qualifications/Skills Required:
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching, service, and professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience teaching using a variety of instructional technology (internet, instructional software, Blackboard)
• Ability to teach in traditional and non-traditional formats and settings (off-campus, weekends, online, and/or Zoom)
• Ability to engage in student recruitment and program advising

Qualifications/Skills Desired:
• Experience teaching at the college level
• Experience coordinating and delivering effective professional development
• Successful grant writing experience or other experience related to seeking external funding
• Successful experience in accreditation report writing (CAEP and/or NELP or SPA)
• Advanced information and communication technology skills related to productivity and instruction, including Windows and/or OS X, and mobile devices (iOS and/or Android)
