SUMMARY:
Facilitate in every way possible the President as he/she fulfills the responsibilities of his/her job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Collaborate with other departments hosting events that the President must attend.
Procure, collect and type Board recommendations.
Answer telephone, screen calls, schedule meetings, type speeches, and help President be in proper location at proper time.
Assist President with calendar, appointments, meetings, speaking engagements, and schedule.
Assist with social media platform (website, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) to spotlight President's activities on and off campus.
Arrange bid openings, groundbreakings, dedication of buildings, etc.
Compile information for reports, surveys as requested by Legislature, State Regents, Board of Regents, Universities, Chambers of Commerce, Presidents, US New, and many other groups and organizations.
Type, distribute and collect various reports and surveys.
Assist with activities associated with George Nigh Award Day, Commencement, and other special events. 
Order plaques, arrange for checks, take reservations, attend receptions, and cover any loose ends.
Compile and enter data in computer, assemble files, correspond with each applicant.
Diplomatically listen to complaints and assist in resolution or direct to proper authority for resolution. 
Type contracts for faculty and staff (involves knowing proper organization, rank, title, tenure status, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Master's degree (MA, MS, MBA, MSHR) from an accredited university. It would be advantageous to have several years working experience which would provide needed maturity.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge about the structure of higher education in Oklahoma, with some knowledge about state government in general. Knowledge about the structure within the institution. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to get along with others. Good listening skills with ability to defuse anger.

SALARY: $30,000 - $35,000
