The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences of East Central University (ECU) is seeking qualified applicants for an Instructor position beginning Fall 2022.

East Central University is a student-centered regional state university located in Ada, Oklahoma. ECU offers thirty-three undergraduate baccalaureate degree programs in arts and letters, business, education, mathematics and sciences, nursing, and the social sciences; and ten master's degrees in education, human resources, and psychology. ECU's 3,400 students come from 28 countries and 25 different states. About 65% of the 172 faculty hold doctorates. Minimum Qualifications:
1) An earned Master's degree in Geography and Environmental Sustainability with at least 18 hours of graduate level combined in Geography and Biology 2) Evidence of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in the following courses: Human Geography, World Regional Geography, Earth Science lecture and lab, General Biology lab, Zoology lab 3) Evidence of publications in peer reviewed Journals.

Preferred Qualifications:
1) Applicants which are able to use and teach GIS
2) Applicants experienced in R statistical language

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 24 teaching contact hours per academic year.
