PART-TIME OFFICE COORDINATOR,

EARLY SETTLEMENT MEDIATION - SOUTHEAST PROGRAM

The Early Settlement Mediation- Southeast Program satellite office, located in the McCurtain County Courthouse in Idabel, is seeking an individual to serve as the office coordinator. This position is responsible for case management of three (3) counties of the eight (8) county region, and recruiting community volunteer mediators. The office coordinator deals with the general public, attorneys and judges on a daily basis. You must be able to work 15 hours at least three (3) days a week, between the hours of 8am-4pm.

 

Responsibilities: The position requires general secretarial skills, computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook, case file data entry and upkeep, managing the scheduling of mediation sessions/locations and coordinating volunteer mediation assignments, completion of administrative tasks as assigned. The office coordinator will be required to complete mediation training and obtain/maintain certification in civil and family mediation.

 

Qualifications: High School diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in public service, counseling, justice and/or equivalent work experience preferred. 2-5 years’ experience in a secretarial or project management position preferred. Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills. The individual seeking this position must be able to prioritize and multitask, work at a fast pace, be self-motivated, self-directed, reliable and demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity and professional conduct.

 

Working Conditions: Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone and via email. Must have a current/valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, as some local travel may be required.

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to handle a high volume of phone calls, emails and in-person inquiries. Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking, listening, and computer usage. Must be able to move or lift up to 20 lbs.
