Students can enroll in and attend ECU classes on campus in Ada and also in completely online courses as ECU is progressing rapidly expanding online learning opportunities.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registrar is responsible for oversight and maintenance of all student academic records and administration of all services and operations in the Records Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implementing policies from ECU's Academic Committee, ECU Administration, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSHRE), and Veterans Administration.
• Overseeing registration related functions of student information system including course enrollment, grade reporting, transcript maintenance, probation/retention, graduation audits, and information dissemination.
• Providing leadership for continuous improvement of student and faculty portals for online course registration, advising, and grade reporting.
• Developing and supervising procedures for transfer credit evaluation and recording.
• Gathering data, modifying information, and formatting statistical reports to be used in audits, publications, assessment planning, tracking, and Unitized Data System (UDS) reports.
• Assisting with updating and maintaining the ECU Catalog based on Academic Committee decisions, ECU policies, OSRHE policies, and various other sources.
• Supervising the training and functioning of the office staff and their duties.
• Meeting with administration, faculty, staff, and students to discuss problems and/or policies and the specific needs of each.
• In consultation with the Office of Academic Affairs, arranging the ECU graduation ceremonies.
• Maintaining and preparing the Records Office budget.
• Creating and maintaining reports for OSHRE.
• Assisting the Office of Academic Affairs Office in calendar, schedule preparations, and other duties as assigned.
• Serving on ECU committees and working closely with multiple offices, including the Offices of Academic Affairs, Institutional Effectiveness, Financial Aid, Bursar, and others to develop and maintain effective procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Master's degree or relevant experience.

• Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with a diverse community.
• Computer literate and proficient with MS applications. Ability to quickly learn and use multiple software applications with proficiency.
• Ability to convey enthusiasm, energy, and poise in an ever-changing environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
• Management experience in higher education setting.
• Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague SIS or similar software.

SALARY: $65,000 - $70,000
