“Annie Get Your Gun” is the story of Annie Oakley, a homely country girl, who finds herself head over heels in love with Frank Butler, a sharpshooter in the famous Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. Buffalo Bill and his show manager, Charlie Davenport, talk Annie into joining the show.

As Annie gains recognition and stardom, she loses favor with Frank, and he’s the reason she wanted to entertain in the first place. In a jealous rage, Frank quits The Wild West Show and join’s Buffalo Bill’s competition, Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show.

After traveling the world and entertaining all nations, Buffalo Bill announced that The Wild West Show is broke and a plan is put into motion to merge with Pawnee Bill’s show in New York City. Annie has one shot to get her man back and, in the end, Annie finally learns that “You can’t get a man with a gun.”
