Tori Bates (third from left) and James Brown (fourth from left) were crowned East Central University’s 2014 Homecoming Queen and King on Saturday, Oct. 25, at halftime of the Tigers’ football game with Southwestern Oklahoma State. Bates is a senior from Sulphur and actively involved in Chi Omega and holds a position on the executive board. Brown, a junior from Shawnee, represented the Business Leaders’ Association and is a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Brown is currently president of the ECU Marketing Club. Other members pictured from the 2014 ECU Homecoming Court are (from left) Allie Barton (second runner-up for queen), a senior communication major from Ada, representing the Presidential Leadership Program and Delaney Lippard (first runner-up for queen), a history and Native American Studies major from Pauls Valley. Standing next to Brown (from left) are Austin Morrow (first runner-up for king), from Keller, Texas and representing the Student Senate and Joshua Jacob (second runner-up for king), a senior majoring in mass communication and Native American Studies from Ada and an active member of the Native American Student Association.
