Are you and your high school junior or senior trying to make a decision about which college to attend? If so, Tiger Connection, scheduled for Feb. 23, is the perfect opportunity to learn about what it’s like to be a college student at East Central University.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in the lobby of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center, with the welcome session following at 9:30 a.m. A discussion for parents will be at 10 a.m., followed by three different breakout sessions for students that are scheduled throughout the day.
Different activities are scheduled during each of the three sessions, so students can choose to attend the activities that interest them. They will have the opportunity to sit in on a real college class, play with the ECU band, sing with the ECU Chorale, or find out what it takes to be an ECU athlete.
In addition, students can take a campus tour, find out about living on campus and learn about campus life and activities. There will also be a session about the Honors Program and scholarships, including the President’s Leadership Class which provides free tuition and residence hall room waivers for four years.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register at www.ecok.edu/tiger_connection. All high school students will receive a free t-shirt for attending. Lunch will be provided to the students at noon in the Stanley Wagner Ballroom. For more information, visit www.ecok.edu/tiger_connection or call 580-559-5254.
