ADA – East Central University will host a Quiz Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 1, beginning at 10 a.m. on the third floor in the Horace Mann Building on the ECU campus. The tournament will feature teams from universities such as ECU, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Oklahoma City University, Langston and Cameron with possibly teams coming from Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.
The competition will be a round-robin event, using questions supplied by National Academic Quiz Tournament (NAQT). A playoff system, based on record, will determine quarterfinals or semifinals, and the overall champion.
“Most universities will have more than one team. About 10-12 teams will be participating,” said Dr. Dane Scott, assistant professor of chemistry and coordinator for the event.
