ADA – East Central University senior Miles Mitchell, a business administration major from Louisville, Ky., took first place in the college division of ECU’s Tiger Tank Pitch Competition. Mitchell’s winning pitch was called SuiteSeat, an app to be used in stadiums for concession and souvenir delivery. The pitch competition was held in conjunction with ECU’s Annual Leonard Limes Lecture on Nov. 19. Presenting the $250 award to Mitchell was Mike Southard (right), president and CEO of the Ada Jobs Foundation, and Stacey Bolin, director of the Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship. Steve Gregory, owner and founder of Ram Jack foundation repair, delivered the Limes Lecture during the event. The Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship, located in ECU’s Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business, and the Limes Lecture strive to uphold the vision of great entrepreneurs by encouraging others to pursue their entrepreneurial ideas.


 

Osee Pierre, second place college division winner

ECU SENIOR PIERRE CAPTURES SECOND PLACE IN TIGER TANK PITCH COMPETITION

ADA – East Central University senior Osee Pierre, a computer science major from Nassau, Bahamas, took second place in the college division of ECU’s Tiger Tank Pitch Competition. Pierre’s runner-up pitch was called OSPTech, an app used to report issues to local governments. The pitch competition was held in conjunction with ECU’s Annual Leonard Limes Lecture on Nov. 19. Presenting the $125 award to Pierre was Mike Southard (right), president and CEO of the Ada Jobs Foundation, and Stacey Bolin, director of the Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship. Steve Gregory, owner and founder of Ram Jack foundation repair, delivered the Limes Lecture during the event. The Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship, located in ECU’s Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business, and the Limes Lecture strive to uphold the vision of great entrepreneurs by encouraging others to pursue their entrepreneurial ideas.
 

 


 

Hunter Erwin, first place high school division winner

LATTA HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR ERWIN TAKES FIRST PLACE IN TIGER TANK PITCH COMPETITION

ADA – Latta High School senior Hunter Erwin (center) took first place in East Central University’s Tiger Tank Pitch Competition. Erwin’s winning pitch was for the Grizzly Mountain Rock Club, a fitness facility. The pitch competition was held in conjunction with ECU’s Annual Leonard Limes Lecture on Nov. 19. Presenting the $250 award to Erwin was Steve Gregory (right), owner and founder of Ram Jack, a home and building foundation repair company, and Stacey Bolin, director of the Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship. Gregory delivered the Limes Lecture during the event. The Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship, located in ECU’s Harland C. Ansley Elliott, second place high school division winner

TECUMSEH HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR ELLIOTT TAKES SECOND PLACE IN TIGER TANK PITCH COMPETITION

ADA – Tecumseh High School senior Ansley Elliott (center) took second place in East Central University’s Tiger Tank Pitch Competition. Elliott’s runner-up pitch was for a business called Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust, which conducts princess parties and novelties for young girls. The pitch competition was held in conjunction with ECU’s Annual Leonard Limes Lecture on Nov. 19. Presenting the $125 award to Elliott was Mike Southard (right), president and CEO of the Ada Jobs Foundation, and Stacey Bolin, director of the Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship.
