Congratulating Andy Roller (center) of Tecumseh, East Central University’s first recipient of the Molly Shi Boren Centennial Scholarship, are Dr. Christine Pappas (left), coordinator of ECU’s Department of Political Science and Legal Studies, and Phyllis Danley, executive director of the ECU Foundation Inc. The scholarship honoring Boren, an ECU graduate, is designed to be awarded to a freshman and continue until the recipient graduates if certain qualifications are met. Roller, a graduate of Collinsville High School, plans to earn a degree in political science at ECU then go to law school at the University of Oklahoma to study environmental law.
