A violin/piano recital, featuring Dr. Stuart Deaver and Maureen O’Boyle, is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m. at East Central University’s Faust Auditorium.
The recital is free and open to the public.
Deaver, a professor of piano at the University of Tulsa, has won numerous awards and has performed across the country and internationally. Like Deaver, O’Boyle, is an instructor at TU and is concert-master of the Tulsa Opera Orchestra and of the Signature Symphony at Tulsa Community College. She has performed with orchestras throughout the United States and abroad.
The program of violin sonatas will include Mozart’s Violin Sonata in E minor, K. 304; Debussy’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in G minor and Richard Strauss’ Sonata for Violin and Piano in Eb major, Op. 18.
