A two-day grant-writing workshop will be held Oct. 9-10 [TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY] at East Central University to teach participants everything from how to identify research avenues and needs to developing goals and writing an abstract and cover letter for a proposal.
Robert Bradley, a member of the Continuing Education staff at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, will teach the workshop. Bradley also is the manger of LSU's Osher Institute of Lifelong Learning, the acting director of Pre-College Programs and the faculty distance/e-learning program coordinator.
Participants can sign in at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday [OCT. 9]. Sessions will begin at 9 a.m. both days. The workshop also will cover how to locate funding sources and opportunities. The cost is $250.
