High school juniors and seniors can get a preview of college life – from seeing a residence hall room, eating lunch in the cafeteria and actually attending some classes and activities – at East Central University’s Tiger Connection on Feb. 22 [WEDNESDAY].

Following registration at 9 a.m. in the lobby of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center and a brief welcome in the Ataloa Theatre, prospective ECU students can choose from different activities offered during each of four breakout sessions throughout the day.

Campus tours will be offered during each session. High school students can sit in on a class of their choice, learn about scholarships, sororities and fraternities, the Honors Program and the President’s Leadership Class which provides free tuition and residence hall room waivers for four years.

They also can meet with ECU band members or rehearse with the University Singers or attend a workshop to learn about making the transition from a high school student to a successful college graduate

Participants are encouraged to pre-register at www.ecok.edu/tiger_connection. All high school students will receive a free t-shirt for attending. For more information, visit www.ecok.edu/tiger_connection or call 580-559-5254.
