Puterbaugh Foundation Scholarships, which assist an East Central University graduate student and an undergraduate student enrolled at the Eastern Oklahoma State College McAlester campus, have been awarded to Helen Geddes of McAlester and Aubrey Isenhower of Quinton.
Geddes is working toward a master of science in human resources degree with a rehabilitation counselor option. Isenhower is an undergraduate majoring in human services counseling with a minor in psychology.
The scholarships were established through the ECU Foundation Inc. with a gift from the Puterbaugh Foundation of McAlester and are funded by interest earned from the gift, as well as from alumni donations.
Recipients must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average and be working toward one of the degrees ECU offers at McAlester, either master of education degrees, master of science in human resources degrees or bachelor’s degrees in human services counseling, social work, general studies or nursing.
