East Central University student Rosa Denton (left) of Porum is named a Rising Star in Early Childhood Education at the ECU Department of Education’s spring awards luncheon. Dr. Brenda Walling, chair of the Education Department, made the presentation. Denton also received a Dr. Donnie and Shirley Nero Scholarship that honors the ECU alums. Phi Alpha Theta is the national history honor society.
