The next astronomy viewing with telescopes will be Tuesday [SEPT. 22] at East Central University. The public can view the moon and Jupiter from 8 to 8:30 p.m. at the ECU Observatory.

Viewers should park in the Physical Plant parking lot northeast of the football stadium and walk 100 feet up a hill to the observatory. The viewing will be cancelled if it is cloudy or raining.

"If in doubt, don't come," said Dr. Carl Rutledge, adviser of the ECU Astronomy Club which sponsors the viewings.

The remaining viewings this fall will be of Jupiter and the Andromeda Galaxy from 8:30 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 7 and the moon and Jupiter again from 8 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.
