Little Red Riding Hood - In this scene from the familiar fairy tale, Red is deliriously happy to be out of the house to explore the forest and pick strawberries.
A Game of Chance – As three women in a knitting circle discuss their dreams for a better life, they are confronted by the Representative, an eternal messenger of fate. The Representative grants each woman her wish, but not long after, they discover that they are still not satisfied. Even the Representative joins in complaining that he “never improves man’s estate.” The opera ends in chaos as everyone fights to get what the others have.
La Pizza con Funghi (Pizza with Mushrooms) - features four roles: Voluptua, is the new wife of the exuberant, but somewhat clueless Count Formaggio. Voluptua, who is attempting to have an affair with debonair tenor, Scorpio, decides to kill the count by feeding him a pizza topped with poisonous mushrooms. Voluptua’s maid, Phobia, thwarts the poisoning attempt as the whole plot turns hilariously awry.
