The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act is designed to make prospective ECU students aware of a school's commitment to providing equitable athletic opportunities for its men and women students. Any co-educational institution of higher education that participates in a federal student aid program must prepare an EADA report by October 15. Institutions must also report data to the U.S. Department of Education via this online survey. The data are then migrated to the Office of Postsecondary Education's public website. This is a mandatory survey.

According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, no persons are required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a valid OMB control number. The valid OMB control number for this information collection is 1845-0010. The time required to complete this information collection is estimated to average 5.5 hours, including the time to review instructions, search existing data resources, gather the data needed, and complete and review the information collected.
