OVW Campus Program Mission Statement The mission of the United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women’s Campus Program is to develop effective culturally-relevant campus-based programming that builds upon strong campus and community partnerships with the goals of strengthening services for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking and promoting multifaceted prevention strategies within the campus community. To that end, the Campus Program provides comprehensive, responsive, and well-informed Technical Assistance to campus grantees and other colleges and universities to ensure that survivor-centered responses are holistic, while holding offenders accountable.
ABOUT STTAABLE
East Central University’s Safety Training and Technical Assistance for Administrators, Boards, and Law Enforcement (STTAABLE) Campus Program is founded on over twelve years of focused experience, success in partnerships, and solid expertise in training of law enforcement. STTAABLE, through collaboration and partnership with other TA teams, existing programs, national agencies, and external consultants, provides technical assistance and serves as a mentor to campuses and their law enforcement / security departments in a targeted approach to OVW campus programs and the Law Enforcement Training minimum standard. Additional areas of focus are education and training at the executive/administrative level as well as peer-to-peer support for governing boards, related to campus culture and enhanced response to interpersonal violence among the campus community. STTAABLE promotes best practices founded on current and valid research, informs grantees regarding new and creative ways to present relevant topics, assists grantees in determining specific needs of their programs, and connects grantees with national training resources.

The Campus Program TA Providers offer specialized subject matter expertise and considers the interdisciplinary needs of the grantees, while having a broader understanding of Campus Program expectations. In order to assist in effectively implementing grant goals and objectives, and program requirements, TA may be provided by one or a combination of the following methods:
