All scholarships require full-time attendance (12 hours for undergraduate; 6 hours for graduate) unless indicated otherwise.
All scholarships require a 3.0 cumulative GPA unless indicated otherwise.
All scholarships are for fall and/or spring semester only (summer not included) unless indicated otherwise.
All HHFS scholarship recipients are recommended by the department, with final approval by the ECU Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Any exceptions must be approved by the department chair and the Foundation Scholarship Committee.


BRILES HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, HOSPITALITY AND FOOD SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded based on need and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Originally established as part of the Federal Student Loan Program, this scholarship was transferred to the ECU Foundation in 1995.

GRACE GEORGE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has completed 45 to 70 semester hours and who has maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students who are interested should submit a current class schedule, current transcript, and a resume which includes work experience, scholastic accomplishments, organizational and service activities, statement of need, and future career plans. Mrs. George was a long-time faculty member at ECU and this scholarship was established in her honor by family, friends, and colleagues.

HIGGINBOTHAM FAMILY HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, HOSPITALITY AND FOOD SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a junior or senior student with a minimum 3.2 GPA who is involved in local and state student organizations (Student Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, and the Student Union of the Oklahoma Association of Family and Consumer Sciences) and who also exhibits leadership qualities. Dorothy Higginbotham was an ECU alumna who understood and recognized the value of higher education and established this scholarship as part of her estate planning.

GRACE HYDER RICHMOND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, HOSPITALITY AND FOOD SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a senior student at the discretion of the department and will be used as assistance in a career search.

LYNDA K. SIMPSON MEMORIAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, HOSPITALITY AND FOOD SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a freshman or sophomore with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and a declared major of Human Development, Hospitality or Food Science.  This scholarship can be used to provide out of classroom experience and travel opportunities related to their major for students as well as tuition and fees. This scholarship was established by The First Christian Church of Ada in memory of long-time and beloved member Lynda K. Simpson.
